The Good News
CONGRATULATIONS - on behalf of BAG we would like to express our best wishes to Graham & Carol who have recently tied the knot - or perhaps it would be more appropriate to say "hooked up the coupling".Good Luck to you both for your future together, and may you have many a happy steam(ing) session together!
The Not So Good News...
Sad to report that during our meeting last weekend we had a visit from Scouting officials, during this visit we were told that "we want your storage back", which as we pointed out (but they knew full well) meant that we could not continue to hold our meetings in the hall. It then transpired that we are to all intents and purposes "persona non grata" with the current hall management committee and are considered to be "inconvenient" and even "offensive". Obviously, the net result is that we are again without a home both for our meetings and for the equipment, which is perhaps of more immediate concern , we have until the end of March to vacate the premises. So, if anyone out there knows of some suitable dry and secure storage, preferably some that comes attached to a meeting venue within our budget and is within a reasonable radius of central Bedfordshire, please let us know! In the meantime, we intend to have a last meeting at Grovebury Road on March 1st, although if circumstances permit (i.e. if we are very lucky) this will at least in part be a packing up and moving day.
