A small group of BAG´s members took Papplewick Green to the Carnival on Edlesborough Village Green yesterday; we were blessed with a fine sunny day. The Carnival is reputed to be one of the largest events of its kind and judging by the number of Stalls and the crowds of visitors I would not be surprised. We all had a great afternoon playing trains in the sun and spoke to a number of prospective new members.
Thanks to everyone who came along to help.

Some of you may already be aware of the sad news that Peter O´Neill died in Northampton Hospital on the 8 June.
We are grateful to Bruce Basson who has known Peter for a number of years for the following obituary.
Peter O´Neill
I first met Peter in 1997 at Olney model railway exhibition just after he had moved to Wollaston from Chinnor. In the early 90´s Peter and his wife Shirley ran a small business called Chiltern Model Supplies, making resin kits of Festiniog bug boxes, freelance vans and wagons, they ceased trading when they moved to Wollaston. He then concentrated on building steam loco´s, rolling stock etc., for his own garden railway, his latest acquisition being a coal fired Garrett, which he eventually mastered. He was also a keen aero modeller, latterly building jet engines. Peter was a kind and gentle man and would always offer his help whenever he could, and he will be sadly missed.
I am sure we all wish to send our condolences to his wife Shirley and family.
Bruce Basson
Peter was a regular at our club meetings at Leighton Buzzard, and more recently at Eaton Bray and in spite of his failing health he recently made a big contribution on the Ridgmont maintenance day re-soldering the loose track work with the help of his friend Steve. He was a valued member of the group and will be greatly missed.
