My thanks to all those members that rallied round to help with the Ridgmont maintenance day last month, we managed to complete all the work that was needed to bring the layout up to scratch for Stoneleigh.
At the Stoneleigh show Ridgmont looked and behaved very well throughout the day it was a credit to the Beds Group and the members who put in so much effort. Thanks to all those that helped with the loading, unloading and keeping a good display of trains running throughout the day. Particular thanks should also go to Ray Butler for all the extra scenic items he adds, which really raised the standard of Ridgmont well above other models at the show.
Garden Meetings
So far we have a number of events in the diary for this year, they are as follows:
1st, 2nd & 3rd May – Martin & Liz Shrubsole will be holding the 24th Trains for Marie Curie weekend, if you have not taken part in one of these weekends now is your chance. It is a very enjoyable day and all for a very good cause, to date Martin and Liz have raised over £26,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. 9 May–Steam on Somesay Island, Martin Shrubsole will be hosting a Garden Meeting at Wing Buckinghamshire. Full details can be found on the diary page on the BAGS Web Site.
25 June Cut–Throat Wood Railway, Pete Newman is planning an evening running session on Friday 25th June, starting at 6pm, running until late. Full details can be found on the diary page on the BAGS Web Site.
